Air stacks up in front of it and rolls off the back into a pair of vortices that sit just behind the wing, acting like an invisible extension of its shape. The wing behaves as though it were more curved than it actually is. These plates are larger than the standard AT-M3 endplates and angled inward at the lower edge rather than sitting flat, sealing more of the wing's span so the pressure difference stays where it works.
